Purpose and how to use this page
This is the master warranty page for San Antonio Landscaping Services. Use this page to understand the general warranty framework for our installation services, then review the service-specific warranty page when one applies to your project.
Warranty coverage depends on the service performed, the materials installed, the written estimate or invoice, customer care requirements, and conditions at the property. Definitions and notice timing rules used across our policies are available at /policies/. Written notices sent outside business hours are treated as received at 8:00 AM CT on the next business day. Please confirm receipt.

48-hour post-completion check window
Please review your project as soon as possible after completion. Visible installation issues, workmanship concerns, or missed agreed scope items should be reported within 48 hours of completion so we can review and correct qualifying issues at no charge.
This 48-hour window is especially important for sod installation, seasonal clean-ups, visible layout concerns, edging alignment, lighting placement, drainage outlet placement, and any items that can be inspected immediately after the job is finished.
To report an issue, send clear photos or video, the property address, a short description of the concern, and the completion date shown on your invoice or project communication.
Workmanship vs. manufacturer warranties
- Workmanship warranty: Covers qualifying installation defects caused by work performed by San Antonio Landscaping Services during the applicable warranty period.
- Manufacturer warranty: Covers the product or material itself when a manufacturer warranty applies. Manufacturer warranties are controlled by the manufacturer’s terms, conditions, inspection process, and approval decisions.
- Care and maintenance requirements: Some warranties require proper watering, cleaning, maintenance, drainage protection, approved products, or documentation. Failure to follow care instructions may void coverage.
Manufacturer coverage can vary by product, model, material type, and supplier. For example, artificial turf manufacturer coverage depends on the turf model and manufacturer terms, and lighting component warranties may vary by fixture, transformer, lamp, or accessory.
Warranty claim process
- Send photos or video with a short description. Include your name, property address, project type, completion date, and a clear explanation of the issue.
- We review the documentation. Photos or video may be enough for simple issues. If more information is needed, we may request additional photos, care records, irrigation details, maintenance notes, or invoice information.
- If needed, we schedule an inspection. Inspections are used to determine whether the issue is covered, excluded, maintenance-related, caused by site conditions, or outside the original scope.
- We provide the resolution path. If the issue is covered, we will explain the repair plan or next steps. If the issue is not covered, we may provide a repair estimate or recommend a change order when added scope is needed.
- We document the close-out. We may document what was repaired, what was excluded, what was caused by outside conditions, or what requires a separate estimate.
To file a warranty claim, contact San Antonio Landscaping Services by phone at (210) 625-6438 or by email at [email protected].
If a reported issue is found not to be covered under the applicable warranty, a service call fee may apply. Any applicable fee will be disclosed before scheduling non-covered work.

- Neglect or failure to follow care, watering, maintenance, cleaning, or usage instructions
- Watering or irrigation failures, especially for sod and plant-related work
- Pet damage, wildlife damage, pests, rodents, heavy traffic, vehicles, furniture, or misuse
- Chemicals, herbicides, fertilizers, cleaners, power equipment, or tools not used according to guidance
- Shade, poor sunlight, heat stress, drought stress, watering restrictions, or site conditions outside our control
- Extreme weather, heavy storms, flooding, freezes, erosion, wind, hail, or other acts of nature
- Third-party work, homeowner modifications, utility work, irrigation changes, repairs, excavation, or alterations after completion
- Pre-existing conditions, hidden conditions, soil movement, drainage limitations, buried debris, unstable subgrade, or issues discovered after work begins
- Normal wear and tear, natural settling, cosmetic variation, fading, minor material differences, or routine maintenance needs
- Work that was recommended but declined, excluded from the written scope, or deferred to a later phase
For additional risk boundaries involving utilities, private lines, irrigation, weather impacts, access limitations, and hidden site conditions, see our Damage, Risk & Liability Policy.
Sod installation warranty
San Antonio Landscaping Services provides a two-part limited warranty for qualifying sod installations.
48-hour installation guarantee
We guarantee that the sod is fresh, healthy, and properly installed at the time of service. Issues such as dead patches, gaps, misalignment, or visible installation concerns must be reported within 48 hours of completion for correction at no charge when the issue qualifies.
30-day limited establishment warranty
If areas of sod fail to establish within the first 30 days, we may provide a one-time replacement of up to 90 square feet per pallet installed, provided the warranty conditions are met.
To qualify, the customer must follow the watering and care instructions provided at installation, have a working irrigation system or document manual watering efforts, report the issue in writing within 30 days, and include clear photos.
Optional Premium Sod Warranty
An optional Premium Sod Warranty may be available when selected and listed on the estimate or invoice. Premium coverage may extend the coverage window and replacement allowance beyond the standard sod warranty, subject to the terms shown on the sod warranty page and written project documents.
Not covered for sod
The sod warranty does not cover failure caused by lack of watering, watering restrictions, irrigation problems, neglect, shade, pets, traffic, pests, chemical misuse, disease, extreme weather, or conditions outside our control. The warranty does not guarantee full lawn survival and does not cover normal aesthetic imperfections.
Detailed terms: See the Sod Installation Warranty.
Artificial turf warranty
Artificial turf installations include workmanship coverage from San Antonio Landscaping Services and manufacturer warranty support when applicable.
2-year limited workmanship warranty
We provide a 2-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty for qualifying artificial turf installation defects. Covered workmanship items may include seam separation or lifting caused by installation defects, perimeter edge lifting caused by installation defects, base settlement directly caused by installation defects, and wrinkling or buckling caused by improper installation methods.
Manufacturer turf warranty
Artificial turf materials may include a manufacturer warranty of up to 15 years, depending on the turf model and manufacturer terms. Manufacturer warranties are subject to manufacturer inspection, approval, limitations, and exclusions.
Not covered for artificial turf
Common exclusions include misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, pets, pests, rodents, wildlife, burns, stains, harsh chemicals, acts of nature, subgrade or soil movement not caused by our installation, third-party work, excessive traffic, furniture damage, infill displacement, normal wear, and conditions outside our control.
Detailed terms: See the Artificial Turf Installation Warranty.
Drainage workmanship warranty
Drainage installations include a 1-year limited workmanship warranty for qualifying installation defects in work performed by San Antonio Landscaping Services.
What may be covered
- Drainage pipe, basin, or outlet installation defects caused by our workmanship
- Improper connections on components we installed
- Visible trench settlement directly caused by our backfill work
- Incorrect placement or installation that does not match the approved written scope
- Workmanship-related separation, disconnection, or installation failure within the covered drainage system
What is not covered
Drainage improvements are designed to reduce or redirect water problems, but they do not guarantee a perfectly dry yard, full elimination of standing water, or performance during extreme storms, flooding, unusually heavy rainfall, municipal drainage backups, neighboring runoff, roof/gutter failures, soil saturation, erosion, or site conditions outside our control.
Drainage issues that require additional collection points, added pipe runs, grading changes, gutter work, retaining wall drainage, sump pumps, or other work not included in the original written scope are handled as additional scope.
Detailed terms: See the Drainage Workmanship Warranty.
Retaining walls and hardscape warranty
Retaining wall and hardscape installations include a 1-year limited workmanship warranty for qualifying installation defects in work performed by San Antonio Landscaping Services.
What may be covered
- Workmanship defects in wall construction or installation methods
- Drainage components installed by our team when included in the written scope
- Base preparation defects directly caused by our installation work
- Material placement or alignment issues that do not match the approved written scope
- Loose, shifted, or failed components when the cause is confirmed as an installation defect
What is not covered
Retaining wall and hardscape warranties do not cover natural settling, soil movement, expansive soil, erosion, slope movement, hydrostatic pressure from drainage issues outside our scope, excessive surcharge loads, tree root pressure, irrigation leaks, third-party excavation, added structures, vehicle impact, acts of nature, or pre-existing site conditions unless the issue is confirmed as a workmanship defect caused by our installation.
Engineering, permits, structural design requirements, drainage upgrades, soil stabilization, and additional reinforcement are only included when specifically listed in the written scope.
Detailed terms: See the Retaining Walls Warranty.
Landscape lighting warranty
Landscape lighting installations include a 1-year limited workmanship warranty for qualifying installation defects in work performed by San Antonio Landscaping Services. Manufacturer warranties may also apply to fixtures, transformers, lamps, connectors, and other lighting components depending on the product used.
What may be covered
- Installation-related connection failures caused by our workmanship
- Fixture mounting or placement issues that do not match the approved written scope
- Low-voltage wiring installation defects caused by our work
- Transformer installation issues caused by our workmanship
- Workmanship-related failures in components we installed
What is not covered
Lighting warranties do not cover burned-out lamps, normal bulb replacement, timer or setting changes, Wi-Fi or smart-control connectivity issues, power outages, GFCI trips caused by property electrical issues, damage from pets or landscaping tools, irrigation damage, flooding, lightning, power surges, third-party modifications, plant growth blocking fixtures, or repositioning requested after the approved installation.
Electrical issues outside the low-voltage lighting system we installed may require a licensed electrician and are not covered as landscape lighting workmanship.
Detailed terms: See the Landscape Lighting Warranty.
Landscape beds, edging, rock, and mulch workmanship standard
Landscape bed, edging, rock, and mulch projects are reviewed under a limited workmanship standard rather than a broad material warranty.
What may be corrected
- Visible installation issues reported within the 48-hour post-completion check window
- Missed areas that were included in the written scope
- Incorrect placement, layout, or material installation that does not match the approved written scope
- Edging installation defects caused by our workmanship
What is not covered
We do not warranty natural settling, mulch fading, rock movement, washout from heavy rain, weed growth, soil movement, erosion, pet disturbance, plant survival, plant shock, irrigation issues, or maintenance-related conditions. Rock, mulch, soil, and bed materials can shift over time and may require routine maintenance, refreshing, or top-dressing.
For expectations related to bed preparation, edging, weed fabric, rock, mulch, planting areas, and normal maintenance, see the Landscape Bed Expectations Policy.
Seasonal clean-up workmanship standard
Seasonal clean-up services are evaluated based on completion of the agreed written scope and the condition of the property at the time of service.
Customers should report missed areas or visible scope-completion concerns within 48 hours of completion. Qualifying missed items within the agreed scope may be corrected at no charge.
Seasonal clean-up services do not include an ongoing warranty after the service is completed. New debris, falling leaves, weather impacts, weed regrowth, animal activity, and property conditions that occur after completion are not covered.
Limits, conditions, and account status
Warranty remedies are limited to repair, correction, replacement, or warranty support for the covered item, as determined by San Antonio Landscaping Services. We are not responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost profits, property damage caused by outside conditions, or work performed by others.
Total liability for any workmanship warranty claim will not exceed the original installation price paid for the affected scope of work. Warranty coverage begins on the installation completion date shown on the final invoice. Warranty coverage applies only to work performed by San Antonio Landscaping Services and is not transferable unless stated otherwise in writing.
Warranty coverage may be suspended or denied if the customer’s account is not current, if the customer does not provide reasonable documentation, if required care instructions were not followed, or if the issue was caused by excluded conditions.
