Drainage Workmanship Warranty Terms
This warranty applies to qualifying drainage installations completed by San Antonio Landscaping Services. It explains the limited workmanship coverage included with drainage work, the limits of drainage performance, customer maintenance responsibilities, and the process for reporting a concern.
Warranty Coverage Period
San Antonio Landscaping Services provides a 1-year limited workmanship warranty for drainage installation work performed by our team. The warranty begins on the installation completion date shown on the final invoice.
This warranty applies only to the drainage components and installation work included in the approved written scope. It does not apply to pre-existing drainage conditions, drainage areas outside the project scope, or work performed by others.
What May Be Covered
Covered workmanship items may include installation defects in drainage work performed by San Antonio Landscaping Services.
- Improperly installed basins, grates, pipe, fittings, or outlets included in the written scope
- Workmanship-related disconnection or separation of drainage components installed by our team
- Incorrect placement or installation that does not match the approved written scope
- Visible trench settlement directly caused by our backfill work
- Drainage component failure caused by an installation defect rather than maintenance, damage, weather, or site conditions
If a covered workmanship defect is confirmed during the warranty period, San Antonio Landscaping Services will determine the appropriate repair or correction for the affected work.
Drainage Performance Limitations
Drainage systems are designed to reduce, redirect, or improve specific water problems identified in the approved written scope. They do not guarantee a perfectly dry yard, complete elimination of standing water, or performance during all rainfall conditions.
Drainage performance can be affected by rainfall intensity, soil saturation, neighboring runoff, municipal drainage capacity, roof and gutter conditions, grading limitations, elevation constraints, landscaping changes, and other site conditions outside our control.
Standing water, slow drying, or water movement after heavy rainfall is not automatically a workmanship defect. Some properties may require additional collection points, grading changes, downspout work, retaining wall drainage, sump systems, or other scope not included in the original installation.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover issues caused by extreme weather, flooding, unusually heavy rainfall, acts of nature, erosion, soil movement, municipal drainage backups, neighboring property runoff, roof or gutter failures, irrigation leaks, clogged grates, clogged basins, sediment buildup, roots, leaves, debris, pests, animals, vehicles, heavy equipment, third-party work, homeowner modifications, or lack of maintenance.
It also does not cover drainage concerns in areas that were not included in the written scope, problems caused by work that was recommended but declined, or additional work needed because of hidden or changing site conditions.
Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must keep drainage grates, basins, outlets, pop-up emitters, swales, and discharge areas clear of leaves, mulch, soil, sediment, trash, plant material, and other debris.
Customers should keep gutters and downspouts functioning, avoid blocking drainage outlets, avoid driving over drainage lines or basins unless designed for vehicle loads, and contact San Antonio Landscaping Services before allowing third-party work that may disturb the drainage system.
How to File a Warranty Claim
To file a warranty claim, contact San Antonio Landscaping Services by phone at (210) 625-6438 or by email at [email protected].
Please provide your name and property address, the installation completion date from your invoice, photos or video of the concern, and a brief description of when the issue occurs. For drainage concerns, photos or video during or shortly after rainfall are especially helpful.
San Antonio Landscaping Services will review the documentation and may schedule an inspection if needed. If the issue is covered, we will explain the repair plan. If the issue is not covered or requires additional scope, we can provide a repair estimate or change order.
If a reported issue is found not to be covered under this warranty, a service call fee may apply. The fee will be disclosed before scheduling non-covered work.
Limits, Conditions, and Exclusions
Remedies for workmanship claims are limited to repair or correction of the covered defect. San Antonio Landscaping Services is not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of use, property damage caused by outside conditions, or work performed by others.
Total liability will never exceed the original installation price paid for the affected drainage scope. Warranties are non-transferable unless stated otherwise on the invoice. Warranty coverage begins on the installation completion date and may be suspended if the customer’s account is not current.
San Antonio Landscaping Services reserves the right to determine whether a drainage concern is a covered workmanship defect, a maintenance issue, an excluded site condition, or additional work outside the original scope.
